HETHERSETT ATHLETIC F.C. 1999/2000 COACHMAKERS v HETHERSETT ATHLETIC Away 26/09/99 Hethersett travelled to Bradenham to face Coachmakers and made the best possible start after five minutes. Good support play from Hyett and Cooper made the chance for Lewis Mace to fire past the keeper from twelve yards. 0-1 Coachmakers came back strongly and forced Hethersett back to defend in depth, but for two superb saves from Angus Greenhalgh and some way ward finishing Coachmakers could have gone ahead. Robbie Lincoln calmed the Hethersett nerves when he won the ball and from sixteen yards curled a delicate chip into the top corner. 0-2 Hyett and Cooper were again performing well for Hethersett on the right and with some positive movement and running from Mace and Lincoln in attack The visitors looked capable of adding to the score. H-T 0-2 Hethersett, with the experienced Andy New stead and the strong running of Danny Gaskin and Rob Harrison were winning the midfield battle. The work rate and football from Hethersett was top rate, it had to be because the hosts were capable of breaking quickly and freeing a lively strike force. Chris Steward, Ben Watt and Scott New stead had to be in good shape to deal with the threats, unfortunately for Coach makers they found Angus Greenhalgh in the visitors goal unbeatable and again two more brave saves kept the lead. A free kick from Harrison went close, Lincoln then struck the post with a low shot. Hethersett were beginning to find there way through the home defenders as they tired and Robbie Lincoln gained his reward in the closing stages to score twice more and complete a deserved hat-trick.
