HETHERSETT ATHLETIC v BRICK MAKERS Home 07/11/99 Hethersett again made their usual lack lustre start to the game, to many players just going through the motions and waiting for things to happen. Only Neil Cockerton and Nick Jones appeared "up for the game" with Cockerton showing some neat touches in midfield and Jones using his pace on the right wing. Brick makers created some good chances and really should have punished the home side but they missed the target. Hethersett started to create with Harrison and Jones both denied by the visitors keeper. Brick makers stunned the home side taking a twenty fifth minute lead 0-1 and shortly after had another good chance that was spurned by the attacker. Nick Jones saved the home sides blushes after a surging run and hard shot to beat the keeper. 1-1 Robby Lincoln was getting into the game more and the front man took the chance to increase the lead. 2-1 H-T 2-1 Hethersett started the second half in a much more positive attitude and began to play the football they are capable of. Lewis Mace and Robby Lincoln played a neat passing move to create the third goal, Lincoln finishing the move. 3-1 Nick Jones made the chance for Lewis Mace to score when the cross was deflected into his path. 4-1 Mace and Lincoln again worked the ball through the visitors defence for Mace to net his second goal. 5-1 RESULT 5-1 |
