Altec Rangers today's opponents were fielding a much changed line up to the one we played on the opening day of the season. Lincoln returned in attack to partner Mace. Steve Hyett our four goal hero from last week returned to his normal goal keeping duties. A bright start from both teams saw early action in both goal mouths. Harrison and Mace both went close before Hyett was called into action to keep out a low free kick. The small sloping pitch did not help Hethersett,s passing but the improved work rate and passion missing from previous game had returned to overcome the problem. Robbie Lincoln continued his goal scoring duties dispatching a superb volley. 0-1 Jones on the right was causing problems and his run into the box ended abruptly when he was brought down. Lincoln scoring the resulting penalty. 0-2

Scott Newstead almost made it three but the woodwork saved Altec.

Six minutes into the second half Newstead,s early cross was met by Jones and his shot somehow squirmed through the keepers grasp and over the line. 0-3 Hethersett, for a ten minute spell began to sit back and they paid the price for some hesitant defensive work. A high ball was left to bounce in the area and with the defenders waiting for each other the Altec striker took the chance to poke the loose ball home. 1-4 The goal of the match came with five minutes remaining. Hethersett won a free kick on the left of the home penalty area.

Rob Harrison rolled the ball square for James Reeve to Fire in an unstoppable shot high into the top corner. 1-5
